Acclimation Procedure for Newly Arrived Specimens
Applies to all ipsf.com specimens except Tang Heaven and other MacroAlgae
species, which may be added directly.
1.
Float the sealed bag in aquarium for 15 minutes to equalize temperatures.
2.
Partially open bag (doing so earlier depletes dissolved oxygen).
3.
Add 1 cup of aquarium water to the bag.
5.
Release the specimen(s) into the tank and discard seawater in the bag.
6.
Important: For the following items, specimens PLUS seawater in bags should be added to the tank: Live Sand Activator, WonderMud, MiniStars, Reef Amphipods and Reef Plankton.
7.
To examine and count MiniStars prior to adding to aquarium, place specimens and seawater in a clear bowl with a BLACK background underneath. Make certain that no specimens are left clinging to the inside of the shipping bag.
8.
To examine and count Reef Amphipods, Reef Plankton, Mama Mia Worms or Baby BristleWorms, place specimens and seawater in a clear bowl with a WHITE background underneath.
9.
Important: To examine WonderMud, place first in bowl with BLACK background, then a WHITE background. You will not see all of the life forms in WonderMud with the naked eye unless it is viewed from above against contrasting backgrounds! For best results, view contents of WonderMud with a household magnifying glass, or under low (10X-20X) power with a binocular dissecting microscope!

10.
N-Reducer requires no acclimation and should be added directly to your tank, refugium or sump.

We guarantee that every specimen you have purchased from us will arrive alive and remain alive for at least 5 days after leaving our farm. If your specimen does not arrive alive or if it dies within 5 days of leaving our farm, we will replace it FREE (excluding packaging & shipping). The following conditions apply: .
1.
You MUST accept delivery of your order immediately upon its arrival.
2.
Even if your order arrives late or in an apparently damaged condition, DO NOT refuse to accept delivery of the box!
3.
IPSF assumes no liability for losses, claims or damages if you (or anyone at your address) refuses delivery, or if you instruct Fedex to return your unopened box to IPSF. Taking either of these actions voids our guarantee.
4.
We reserve the right not to accept future orders from any party that has refused delivery of a prior IPSF shipment.
5.
You must acclimate the new arrivals according to our procedure (below) even if they are not moving or appear to be dead. Note that specimens which appear dead will frequently recover quickly when acclimated!
6.
Lack of movement should not be interpreted as death, as it can be caused by the depressed pH of the shipping water, or chilling, and is frequently reversible.
7.
Do not assume that cool water in the shipment bags will injure or kill the livestock.
8.
Your water quality must be adequate (Ammonia 0, Nitrites 0, pH 8.2-8.4, Specific Gravity 1.021-1.025, Temperature 75F-80F).
